Thanks for a great year!

Somehow, it seems we’ve entered the end of year chaos and are preparing for 2016. Amidst the

greenery and seasonal coffee flavors, we’d like to pause and take a look at the glory that was our 2015…

We watched sunsets and picked apples in the hills of New Hampshire at the

Avaloch Farm Music Institute (oh, and we also workshopped new music)!

We played theremins, iLophones, and gave a world premiere of a piece with a robot at SONiCfest in NYC!

We premiered 7 pieces – brand new repertoire to add to the contemporary vocal canon!

We read your tarot and practiced musical witchcraft on the Frequency Series!

We sang a world premiere about the trial of Pussy Riot!

We made our television debut!

We traveled to Texas and performed Morton Feldman in a bar as part of Fast Forward Austin!

We rocked this Chicago public park!

We chilled at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and the Chicago Academy for the Arts, working with students to create new works for voice!

We funded our 2-year long Modern Storytellers project and premiered one of the new works by Jennifer Jolley!

And we got some much needed hang time with you all after our shows!

Running our ensemble and being responsible for the artistic decisions, fundraising, operations, and marketing is a good amount of work, and stress that we could have never imagined, but it is worth it. Every time. Every email, every rehearsal, every night on the road, every tech rider is worth it to make this art, meet and work with people like you, and see incredible places along the way.

We have big, bold plans for the 2016-17, and we can’t do them without you. By making a tax-deductible donation, you ensure the continuation of groundbreaking musical performances, unique education programming, and new works in Chicago and nationwide!
